They say there's is such a thing as a quarter life crisis. I don't know if this is what happened to me, but last year was definitely something very powerful and something that changed me profoundly. Others might call this an awakening, since it was something that shook me to the very core and made me question all of my previous values and beliefs. A thought has crossed my mind. Something I've thought about many times before so I figured maybe it's worth writing about. I've been thinking about what to do next in my life, and somehow felt completely lost. I've considered going back to school, becoming a traveling nomad, starting my own business, putting all my efforts on music or just simply moving into the middle of a forest and saying goodbye to this messed up society. I'm a tired soul that's just sick of everyone talking about success, goals and 6-figure incomes. It's just not me. Every once in a while I get reminded just how lucky I am to have such amazing people around me. And in those moments I am filled with the kind of love and appreciation that makes me wanna burst into tears of joy. In this world it is so easy to get cynical and stop believing in humanity and kindness but fortunately because of the people I've crossed paths with, I have not lost hope yet. In fact, I only hope I can learn more from them. So this one's for you. This world is a strange place. Our values are bizarre and shallow and often leave me wondering what's the point of even trying to fight it, when so many of us are just sleepwalking. But then something happens.
